So, you guys know that I am all about keeping it real, right?
Well, today is no different.
My second challenge wasn’t awesome.
There, I said it. It feels to good to share that.
Sometimes in life, things don’t go as planned, right?
Oh but wait, the challenge was a success. Don’t get me wrong. . . it just wasn’t as awesome as the first.
Ok, let me explain.
You might remember my reasons for doing a 2nd challenge from this post.
And truth be told, I got every single thing that I wanted out of this challenge.
So, why wasn’t it awesome?
Well, it wasn’t enough. I (like everyone else) wanted more. I wanted to lose more weight and lose more inches. I didn’t just want my pants to fit better, I wanted to need to go buy new pants because they didn’t fit anymore!
Katie, you are crazy, right?
Yup, I totally am.
But, I think that’s why I need to keep it real and write it out. Because writing that out, shows me that I am totally crazy.
Because here is the truth.. .
I did another challenge! And it was a total success because:
I didn’t cheat. I shared my experience with Scott. I feel better. I beat my sugar cravings. I saved a ton of money from not going to Caribou every morning for coffee. My pants fit better. I have more energy. I’ve been sleeping better. I’m running faster. I was finally able to increase my squat weight in BODYPUMP. I’ve inspired others to take the AdvoCare challenge and join me on this amazing journey of being healthier.
And now I will continue on with AdvoCare products (spark, catalyst, and O2 Gold) with clean eating – 80/20 because again, let’s be real, we love pizza and cookies and cupcakes. . . but everything in moderation.
So, while I don’t have before and after pictures to share with you. . . I do have these pictures that I took during the challenge of me feeling strong, healthy and successful. . .
And I can tell you that I did lose 6.6 pounds and 5 1/2 inches!
And you can bet that I am looking forward to another challenge in January. Who’s with me?
Linking up with Amanda today for Thinking Out Loud!
And a HUGE thank you to my husband for doing a challenge with me and being awesome throughout the whole thing. Psst he lost 7.2 pounds!!
