I have the day off today. Both boys are sleeping. Luke is still asleep and Jake was up at 6am, ate some food, played and now is down for a nap.
So, I thought I’d take a few minutes to check in!
We didn’t have very many plans this weekend, which was super nice. . .
Both Scott and I got a chance to sleep in – I took Saturday and he took Sunday. It was glorious!
Otherwise, we hung out,
I did some BODYPUMP on Saturday – checked out BP101!
I did some meal planning and placed my order on HyVee’s online grocery service. . .
On Saturday night we went to dinner with Scott’s family to celebrate his birthday.
Sunday morning was my worst nightmare. . . ok, it wasn’t that bad but oh man, 6,000 beads on the floor = not fun.
Jake fell asleep in Scott’s arms at lunch.
We checked out the local Home Show.
After the Home Show, I got an email saying that my order from the grocery store was ready, so we stopped by to pick it up on our way home. This was my first time checking it out and man, it wasn’t as awesome as I was hoping. So, you pull in to a spot by the front of the store, call the number and tell them you are there to pick up your order. The lady said ok, they’ll be right out. So, poor Jake hates his car seat and is screaming his little head off .. . . but she said they will be right out, so I just chill and know that we will be on our way home shortly. Well, 10 looooong minutes later, nothing. So, I call again. And she tells me that there are 4 people ahead of me and it will be a while longer. WTF? I am pretty sure I was the only one there when I first pulled in. Thankfully, I think she heard Jake screaming, and promised to come as quick as possible. So, I ended up pulling Jake out of his car seat and feeing him while we waited for another 10 minutes. So, will I do it again? I’ll probably try it again, because it was less annoying than actually going to the grocery store, but I will know ahead of time that I might have to wait for a while and to try to not have a screaming, hungry baby with me! <—sorry for the semi-rant. . . just wanted to share my experience for any other locals!
Back at home, Luke and I made banana bread.
We went on a family run. 60 degrees!
We finished the evening with watching basketball and eating leftovers for dinner. #adulting
Off to get Luke some breakfast before taking him to school. Jake and I have a bunch of errands to run this morning – yeah for Target! #itsthelittlethings
Hope you had a great weekend! Highlight??
