Like you, I am all about making things easier. . . and I thought I would share some #easy tips I use on a regular basis, and hopefully they can make your life just a bit easier! And share the #easy love –> do you have any tips??

**Super easy homemade tartar sauce. Mix together miracle whip with sweet pickle relish and a little bit of yellow mustard. Much better than store bought!

I learned this one from Laura during one of our cookie paloozas.

**Getting brown sugar out of the bag and measured for cookie without getting it everywhere.  . . Just stick the measuring cup into the bag. You can use the top of the bag to pack the brown sugar in. Super easy, no mess!


**Pinterest boards –> make a “Tried It” board. . . a place for those recipes/crafts/projects that worked and you would do again.

Want a super easy dessert that takes literally 5 minutes to mix up? So, this is a spin on the classic Philadelphia cheesecake recipe, but fits into a 9 inch pre-made graham cracker crust. If you follow the original recipe – you end up with enough for 2+ crusts.

9- inch pre-made graham cracker crust
2 pkgs cream cheese
2 eggs
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 t vanilla

Mix all together, pour into crust. Bake at 325 degrees for about 45-50 minutes. Chill in fridge for at least an hour and enjoy!

**Next, the easiest raspberry sauce. Perfect for that cheesecake. Just take raspberry jam and microwave for about 15 seconds until slightly liquid. Pour over cheesecake. Enjoy. Smile See, told you it was super easy!

    On the topic of EASY – I cook a lot of my food ahead on Sundays – this makes so we have healthy choices when we walk in the door and also makes clean up so much easier. I cook a weeks worth of oatmeal on Sunday – then I only have one pot to wash instead of one every day. I always cook my chicken ahead of time too so I have healthy snacks during the week too and again one pan!

      Totally agree with food prep. . .that makes the week go by so much better!! It also makes eating healthier easier during the week, otherwise it would be frozen pizza way more often!

  2. I love all of these #easy tricks! I do the brown sugar trick and it is super simple.
    I have an #easy crockpot dinner!
    1 thawed beef roast, diced potatoes, baby carrots, 1 c water, season with what you like. Throw in the crockpot on low for 8 hours. Once it’s ready add 1/2 cup sour cream and enjoy! YUMMY!

  4. I’m with you, the easier the better! Use the brown sugar trick every time. Love the Pinterest idea, I’m definitely going to have to do that. A trick for a quick baked potato… I love the skin on my baked potato to be a little crispy and seasoned with a little salt/herbs, so when I’m in a hurry, I cook it for about 6-8 minutes in the microwave and then finish it off in the oven for 20 or so minutes to get that crispy skin I love. Quick and easy!

  5. It is just me and my fiancee right now, so when I cook a large batch of soup or sauce or anything else really, I freeze them in cupcake tins then pop the food out and put it in freezer bags. Then when we are ready for left overs we can take out the exact amount we need.

      I agree – I wish there was a better way to organize pinterest – I love it but it can be such a time suck to find stuff.
