Friday Favorites: 4/10/15

Heck yes for Friday.

Oh man, I don’t know about you but this week dragged on and on. Tuesday was the longest. day. ever. for some reason. I think I was in bed with the lights out by 9pm – that’s how tired I was. . . but now it’s Friday! I am super excited for Luke’s 3rd birthday party tomorrow and the launch of BP93 at the YMCA! It’s going to be a good one!

Here are my smiles from this week. . .

Puppy faces.

Easter gift cards making Thursday a better day. Thanks Mom.

Pink tennis ball.

I have been using this to roll out my shoulders and upper back at night while watching TV. I tend to have super tight muscles, especially on my right side, to the point of some pretty serious pain after work some days. Using this tennis ball has been super helpful. . . Abby just doesn’t understand why she can’t play with it. It is actually hilarious because I lay on the floor with it under my back and she tries to get it and then when she can’t, she just looks at me, like “WTF?”

Luke’s faces during Facetime. That kid just cracks me up.

Hope you have a great one! Whatcha up to??

Linking up with Friday fun with both Heather and Clare!

  1. Haha poor Abby. If I played with one of Bella’s toys without her she’d probably do the same thing. Have a great weekend!

  2. Hahaha, my pup is the SAME WAY when we use a tennis ball for something other than her enjoyment. Then again, I’m pretty sure she thinks everything in the house is actually hers, and just allows us to use it. Especially the baby stuff we’ve been collecting. She’s convinced it all belongs to her, and sometimes we have to hide it because she’ll start carrying baby clothes or blankets around the house!

Abby is the same way with Luke’s toys and if we lay a blanket on the ground for him, Abby immediately lays in the middle. Silly pup!

  3. LOL, love Luke’s faces. I hope the party goes well this weekend! And I love using a tennis ball on my sore achilles tendon!

  5. I’m loving BODYPUMP 93 and have taught it twice! It was easy to learn as well. Oh and I use a lacrosse ball for rolling sometimes. Good stuff! Have a wonderful weekend, Katie! 🙂

I am loving 93 – super excited to teach it tomorrow. I think triceps are my fav and shoulders are killer!

  6. So I have this TriggerPoint massage ball that I use to massage really tight spots and my Sheltie Maggie always seems to think it’s her toy and doesn’t understand why she can’t play with it. Poor thing. Luckily she has gobs of tennis balls that I can distract her with. 🙂 Have a great weekend!

  7. I’ve never tried using a tennis ball to relieve tightness, but that’s an excellent idea. My back and shoulders are crazy tight right now. Have a lovely weekend! 🙂

  9. The tennis ball trick hurts SO good. It’s awesome for the feet especially–and yes, the back area like you said.

    Have a great weekend!!

Puppy/kid faces are the best! But Starbucks gift card and Cadbury Creme eggs tie for second!

  14. I hope Luke’s birthday party is super fun! I love kids and Face Time. My girls love to do Face Time with E when he’s gone. They always make him give them a tour of his hotel room.

What are your initial thoughts on BP93?

LOVE IT!! It took me a couple times to get into it but now I think it is awesome. It is a really really good workout too. Triceps are fun and lunges and shoulders are killer. 🙂

  16. Loving all your Friday favorites! I love using a tennis ball to roll out the knots in my back. Your dog is beautiful, she does look confused as to why she can’t have the ball! Your son is so cute! Happy Birthday to him! My daughter is 3 also, it is a fun age!
