Friday Favorites: Fall days and new starts

Hey! Happy Friday! Smile

This week FLEW by for me. . .with moving, working on the new house and starting a new job. . . I need the weekend to recover!!

Here are the things that made me smile this week. . .

Spending extra time with my little boy. I had a few days off of work before starting the new job and I took advantage of some extra play time hanging out with Luke!

Pictures from Sadie’s birthday party. My little sister’s dog turned 3 last week and we had a little party for her, complete with cupcakes. Super cute.

Progress on the new house.

We bought a super cute little house, but there was quite a bit of work (understatement!) to be done. Scott has been working his butt off every night after work to get it ready for Luke and I to move in. He’s scraped all the popcorn ceilings, painted every room and totally replaced the flooring – including the sub floor – in the entire upstairs! The progress is SO exciting. Looking forward to moving in a few weeks!

78 degree day in October in Minnesota + running = priceless.

Luke playing t-ball. So adorable.

Perk of the new job. . . being able to take a mid-morning pump class! I started the new job on Wednesday. I’m working in the Urgent Care department and will be working 12 hour shifts.  . . so I’ll have some days where I won’t be working during the week and plan to take full advantage of the extra time!

Plans for the weekend include – running + working on the house + working on Sunday + movie night + family snuggles.

What are you up to?? Smiles from the week??

Linking up with Friday fun with Heather!

LOL – I have to take all 3 first, so after strength on Monday. . . I’m sure it will be on next weeks list. 🙂

  4. That’s fun you can take a mid-morning class with your new job–those are nice because it’s not crazy early but it’s also not later in the day either. I agree with above–I want to hear more about your thoughts on GRIT! 😉

  7. I’m so impressed that Scott is doing so much of the renovation type projects himself. We’d like to rip out carpet in a couple rooms and install hard wood, but I’m intimidated by the thought of making it a DIY project – although I would love to be able to if we could!

  9. Progress on a new house is always something to celebrate! One of my smiles from the week was that my parent met my fiancee’s family for the first time and everyone got along!
