Friday Favorites: 6/5/15

Happy Friday!

Another week done. On to the weekend!!

On tap this weekend – cross fit on Saturday, Farmer’s Market, unpacking boxes, family runs, meal prep (getting ready for the 24 day challenge starting on Monday!), vacuuming out my car (after the cookie explosion of 2015), and celebrating our 7 year anniversary on Sunday!

BTW – thanks for making me feel better yesterday about my issues with sweet potato skins and sleeping with my socks off. . . and don’t say I didn’t warn you about googling banana strings. Winking smile

So, now, let’s get to it. . .

My Fabletics capris. I have never been so thankful for capris until I went for a run on Tuesday and had some super awful chafing on my upper thigh, which, btw, it has been so long since I’ve had that issue. . . anyway, there was no way that any working out was going to be happening in shorts, thankfully, I am in love with these capris and these ones too. Smile

Nurses and doctors. I am so thankful for the awesome staff that has been taking care of my Dad. He is back in the hospital today for round 3 of chemo. Fingers crossed that the bone marrow biopsy goes well today and that there is good news from it.

My new gym. (Locals – it’s Highland Fitness!) Such a nice surprise in the mail this week. Totally unexpected. And super nice that they β€œget me.”

This face.

Seriously, it is just amazing to me how he melts my heart every day. Of course, he is responsible for all my grey hair, but at least he’s cute. Winking smile

And this face.

Scott has been able to be home this week! He had training about 90 minutes away from Eau Claire, so he drove back and forth instead of just staying in a hotel. And it was wonderful. Looking forward to having our little family under one roof again someday soon.

And I can’t forget this face.

She has been all about playing tug this week. Normally, she loved to play tug but this week, every time I turn around she is trying to force a stuffed animal into my hand to play. I seriously, cannot believe that she is 10 years old. . . she still has all of her puppy energy!

Your turn. . . favorites from this week? Plans for the weekend??

Linking up with Friday fun with both Heather and Clare!

I also have a ridiculous coffee problem. I am curious-
How does the 24 day challenge help? Do you give it up?
I am not sure I could do that!

Yup! You basically replace it with spark – which has some caffeine in it + tons of vitamins. And it is seriously the best stuff ever. When I did my first challenge, I thought there was no way I could give up coffee completely for 24 days, but I did it and it wasn’t as hard as I thought it would be. And I felt way better because of it. If you want more information on the challenge, just let me know. πŸ™‚

  8. Oh man, leg chaffing is no joke! I was always curious how you could run long distances in shorts without an issue. Hoping it heals soon! Have a wonderful weekend getting a bit more settled into your new home πŸ™‚

  9. I realized… my tabs shifted and I commented about donuts on your post instead of another (I am not a MAC user)! My bad, it’s the pregnancy brain πŸ™ But this week I am loving the warm weather and berries galore πŸ™‚
