Are you ready for the easiest recipe ever?
I would even venture to guess that you have these in your house right now. This dip is a staple that my family makes for every party/gathering/holiday/weekend at the Lake in the summer. My Mom made it for Luke’s party this weekend. . .
My Grandpa made this all the time when we were younger, and so around my house, it is known as Grandpa’s dip. Even Scott asks if I am going to make Grandpa’s dip whenever we are having a get-together. I also like to make it when we grill in the summer. This dip goes perfect with hamburgers.
I think this dip tastes the best when paired with Ruffles potato chips. But also makes a good dip for veggies or other chips.
2 blocks cream cheese
3/4 cup ketchup
1/2 –3/4 t garlic powder (to taste)
1. Mix together cream cheese (easier if you let the cream cheese come to room temperature first) and ketchup.
2. Add garlic powder.
3. Taste. Continue to add garlic powder until it tastes good to you. Scott is the official taste tester in my house. My Mom loves it super garlicky. I tend to make it less garlicky – whatever you like. . . you really can’t mess it up!
Abby loves this dip because she loves licking the cream cheese wrappers.
Typical in my house – I couldn’t take a picture of the dip without some hands photo bombing. . .
Make this dip for your next party – and I promise you won’t regret it.
