Luke is getting so big so fast! When did my little newborn turn into this little boy?
He has been doing so many new and fun things lately, I just wanted to write a post to try to recap some of these memories.
He loves his sharks – mittens that he got for Christmas. I love that he calls them “his sharks”.
He “toots his bottom” and thinks it is super funny.. . probably gets that from his father.
Loves to make coffee for Mom with his play kitchen.
He loves reading his favorite books over and over and over again. Some nights we read the same book 6 times before bed. Current fav – Goodnight Moon.
He’s smart. . . Luke and I went to the ENT doctor to get his ears checked out. Afterwards he got a sucker and then he spent the rest of the weekend asking for a sucker.
So, on Monday when I went to work and he stayed home with Scott, they had this conversation.
Scott: Where’s mama?
Scott: What’s mama do?
Luke: Help people.
Scott: Is mama a doctor?
Luke: yeah. (pause) SUCKER!
So, I get a text at work from Scott saying that our son has figured out that I am a doctor and therefore have access to the suckers and that I should bring one home for him.
Current food favs: yougurt, “butter” aka peanut butter, granola bars
He loves to tell Abby no. Especially about not eating his snack. And gets super mad when Abby does take his snack!
Loves to snuggle before bed. And loves to try to delay bedtime by asking to snuggle for longer.
We are down to using the pacifier only at bedtime and naptime. He doesn’t have it at all at daycare!
He loves going to the YMCA and playing in the ball pit and loves going down the slide.
Loves airplanes and stars and the moon and trucks and loaders.
Loves helping Daddy and carrying around the hammer.
Loves bath time.
He still says everything is “green” when you ask him what color anything is.
Loves building towers.
Luke Mitchell, we love you so much and love watching you grow and change. We can’t wait to see what you do next!!
