November goals

Happy November. . . wait, how is it November already? And doesn’t it feel like Halloween was forever ago, already? Craziness.

Anyway, with the new month, I wanted to set a few goals for myself. ..

Goal #1Limit excess spending  – With the new house, we are trying to limit some of our extra spending and put that money towards the house. So, for the month of November, I am trying to really pay attention and limit any impulse buys, and buy the things we really need, not just the things that we want. And with December and the holidays coming up. . . it will help to curb spending a bit before that starts!

Goal #2Eat more veggies – I am really good about eating fruit, but I really struggle with getting in my veggies. So, I am going to try to focus on it a bit more this month to try to get more servings in per day. I am planning to make sure and take a serving with for lunch at work, as well as, making sure that we have a veggie with dinner each night and not just sometimes. . . and use fruit for more of a dessert option.

Goal #4Try a new cranberry recipe – so I totally bought a HUGE bag of cranberries after Thanksgiving last year..  . and it is still sitting in the freezer. So, I am looking for an awesome cranberry recipe to use for Thanksgiving this year!

Goal #5Run 100 miles in the Pile on the miles challenge!

Goal #6Spin training – I am going to be doing spin training at the YMCA so that I can teach a combo spin/bodypump class this winter. And teaching spin is on my fitness bucket list!!

What are some of your November goals?

I *think* it will be 35 minutes of each but it is still in the planning stage right now, so not for sure. I’ll share more details when I start teaching it!!

  6. Cranberries for an entire year? Hehe how about a cranberry pie? Yum!

I’m doing the pile on the miles as well for November, although im doing my miles in a combo of walking, running, and biking for some variety. Plus I’m not an amazing avid runner like yourself : )

I agree – they are still in the planning stages of it, but I am excited to see how it will play out. . . and I agree that these goals should probably be for all the time, not just November. . . but I have to start somewhere. 😉

  8. Those are all great goals!!! I’m trying to do 75 miles for pile on the miles. I am also trying to eat healthy, lose weight and get healthy. Always a challenge during the holidays!!

I bought a package of the 100 cal spicy wholly quacamole and oh my gosh!!! So good! I hope I win the giveaway!!!

I am super excited and a little nervous!! Spinning seems so intense and having all those eyes looking at you the. whole. time. Ahhhhh I totally wished we lived closer so I could take your class and you could give me some pointers. I might have to use your for some music tips – because I think spin is all about the music!!

  10. I’ll jump in with the veggies goal. I definitely don’t eat enough throughout the day! I think it’s so much easier to just grab an apple and go. Fruit just seems more portable!

I totally agree – I have been trying to pack single serve bags of carrot sticks at least for lunch. . .so that has been good!
