Thursday Confessions II

Confession #1 – I hate when books are part of a series and I didn’t know it . . . I listened to an audiobook this past week (Under the never sky by Veronica Rossi) and I was getting close to the end and wasn’t sure how they were going to wrap everything up. . . and spoiler alert – they didn’t! It’s part of a 5 book series!! So, now I am on the waiting list at the library for the next book (Through the ever night)!

Confession #2 – I am still upset about day light savings time. Yes, ok, it’s nice that it is light in the morning, but I HATE coming home in the dark. It makes me sad.

Confession #3 – Totes. You know the cool way people say totally. Ya, I am not cool enough to use that word.

Confession #4 – Pumpkin. I actually don’t like pumpkin at all. I gag when I open the can and smell it. I don’t read posts where people talk about putting pumpkin in their overnight oats. BUT, I love this recipe and this one too. Go figure.

Confession #5 – Mixing yogurt and peanut butter together. I don’t get it. I think it sounds gross. But I see it on blogs all the time. Am I missing something?

Confession #6 – I eat breakfast in the car on the way to work every morning. My latest choice – balance bar dark.

Confession #7 – I drink a caramel skim latte every morning and I make
it last until lunchtime. The key is very small sips. And I get sad
when if it is gone earlier than 10:30am.

Confession #8 – The best part of my day on Wednesdays is watching
Survivor. I just love that show.

Confession #9 – I recommend calcium and vitamin D supplementation to
all of my patients, but I don’t take any.

Confession #10 – Sometimes I really screw up dinner. To my husband – I am really sorry about dinner on Monday night. I didn’t know you could mess up French toast, but I guess you can. Winking smile

  3. Oh man, I’ve totally messed up French toast before – realllll bad. I leave the breakfast foods to Kyle – he seems to excel at those 😉 I still don’t know how you make coffee last so long! If I get a delicious latte, it lasts maybe (on a good day…) 30 minutes.

  4. Haha I love this! I have a co-worker who gets a giant coffee in the morning and microwaves it 8 times throughout the day to keep it hot. I just have 3 cups instead! I’ve never even heard of the yogurt/PB thing but it sounds gross.

  5. I was just talking to someone yesterday about how much I hate day light savings. It gets dark way to early!
    I am not cool enough to say totes either 🙂

  6. I am really sad about #2 as well :(. I go on walks sometimes after work and it really stinks that its always dark. I definitely agree with #8, too! I stopped watching Survivor for many years and started back up this year. I’m really enjoying it.

  8. My husband won’t eat anything pumpkin flavor either! And I’m always eating balance bars or luna bars on the way to work too. Hey, it’s better than skipping breakfast right?

  9. This made me giggle so much! I don’t understand the yogurt an dpeanut butter thing either?? And I also hate daylight savings time! I would much rather have it be lighter at the end of the day.

  10. #2 – totally with you. When it gets dark at 5 I feel like the day is over…and yet there is still so much left to be done. It isn’t motivating.

    #3 – I’m definitely not cool enough for ‘totes’ – I just tried saying it out loud. It came out all wrong.

    #9 – Our pediatrician said Atlas should take vitamin D – there must be something to that

      Ha! I love that you tried to say it out loud – seriously when can we hang out?? And isn’t it crazy that Vitamin D is the only vitamin that isn’t in breast milk??

  11. Haha, I always have a backup frozen dinner option just incase I totally fail. I actually love yogurt and peanut butter…you should try it! Add a little honey and some chocolate chips and its amazing!

    Confession? I absolutely hate grading papers. That probably seems obvious ~ but sometimes I wonder why we teach when we hate it so much!
