Oh Monday, how is it already you again already? Well, thankfully
because of my Sunday night being so crazy (I’ll get to that in a
minute), I didn’t have time to write my weekend update post last
night, so it is already Monday night! That’s something to smile about,
Anyway, backing up to cover my weekend. . .
Taught some bodypump.
Checked out the progress on our new house.
Had an awesome dinner thanks to this stuff.
And an even more awesome dessert thanks to baked apple (made in the
microwave), topped with granola and cookie butter –> the stuff Caroline
gave me at HLS!
And I made sure to share with Abby. . .
I met the crew at HLS and checked this bad boy out. . . I may have almost cried when they said that they would like to send me one. Because my old blender was on it’s last legs. . . Luke would cry when I would blend a smoothie because it was so loud. I couldn’t blend anything after he went to bed because it would wake him up. . . I even sent Scott out with the blender to the garage one night to blend up some smoothies.
So, needless to say, I needed a new one!! I am so excited, I don’t
even know what to make first . . . any suggestions?
Followed by cereal time. . . and clean up time.
And I made some ah-mazing pumpkin bars. Recipe coming on Thursday!!
Is there anything cuter than a toddler in overalls? I can’t even. . .
Met Sue for a run at one of my favorite spots – Summit Ave.
And yes, I will bribe someone to run with me.
And finally it was time to head downtown for Wicked with Laura.
We had dinner at Marin, which was perfect because it was right across
the street from the Orpheum. The dinner was just ok. . . nothing amazing. Laura’s black cod was the highlight though. . .
But Wicked was absolutely amazing. We totally scored some 8th row
tickets and it was just perfect. My favorite of the night was defying gravity. Elphaba was fabulous, played by Alison Luff.
Sunday morning, playing with Grandpa in the truck and with Aunt Laura
in her car. ..
Then, back to Mankato. . . for some football – and a Packers win!! Go Pack Go.
Followed by a run – 12.5 miles for me, and Scott joined me for 9.1. In
the rain. Longest run before the Des Moines Half Marathon in 2 weeks.
And then I collapsed. I didn’t feel good. My stomach was upset. And I
spend the rest of the night on the couch. Which, after I felt a little
better, actually ended up being pretty nice… . Leftovers for dinner
and Amazing Race on TV.
How was your weekend? What was the highlight?
