Weekend Update: 1/12/14

Happy Monday. If I say it, maybe it will come true, right? Mondays aren’t usually too bad, but it’s just not the same as sitting on the couch in your PJs watching a DVR’d episode of the Bachelor <—my Sunday morning. Winking smile

Anyway, here is what I was up to this weekend. ..

Friday morning started with teaching a morning spin/bodypump class – 35 minutes of spin followed by 35 minutes of bodypump <—totally kicked my own butt!!

Followed by some much needed coffee.

And after work, finished the day with some of this. Now currently my new favorite flavor.

Saturday morning we headed to our builders office to talk about the house. And Luke really liked his bear.

Followed by groceries. All smiles after getting a cookie at the store.

And who needs toys when you have a box with packing peanuts?

5 miles on the treadmill. Someone wants to be just like Mom.

A visit to the new house. . . the front steps.

Sunday morning, which you already know all about Winking smile. .. building Lego towers, drinking coffee and watching The Bachelor.

I love Luke’s face in this picture –> but look behind him. . . anyone recognize her – she is the crazy massage therapist! What did you think about that massage she gave Juan Pablo?? Awkward!

Snack time. One for Lukie and one for Dad.

Taught bodypump at the YMCA.

And some baking in the afternoon. I even used my brown sugar trick! <—recipe success. . . will share soon!

The rest of Sunday was a blur of naptime, TV watching, laundry and getting ready for the week.

Hope you had a great weekend. .. what were you up to?

  1. I would have been completely exhausted after those two classes too! So, we don’t have DVR anymore which makes it more difficult for me to watch the Bachelor. Major bummer right? I will probably catch it now and then but I won’t get the consistent drama. You will have to fill me in. =)

I haven’t gotten sucked into the bachelor yet this season, it’s only a matter of time!

  3. I love your mug! I don’t have cable any more. I am going through some major Bachelor withdrawal.

Why did Amy the crazy massage therapist oil up her hands and then massage Juan Pablo’s jacket? Ummm… awkward! Although, the weirdest part of last week’s episode was the opera singer girl’s reaction to receiving the first impression rose. That was definitely a first! Can’t wait to continue celebrating “Juan-uary” tonight! 🙂

I KNOW, right?!? Craziness. And I totally agree about her reaction to the first impression rose – actually she was just strange the whole night – even when they first met she was stand-off-ish.

  5. It looks like you had a packed weekend of fun! I am not watching The Bachelor this season but now I feel like I should… 😉 A creepy masseuse?! Haha!

  7. When are you expecting your house to be move-in ready? It’s looking like it’s close to the cosmetic-type work now!

  8. I give you MAJOR points for waiting until Sunday to watch The Bachelor! It was all about the girls this weekend; cocktail (or in my case, mocktail) party and brunch! Oh yea, and I got WAY too addicted to Homeland. Have you ever watched it? I’m hooked.

    • KT

You can take away those major points because I just didn’t have time before then!! I have to wait until I have some TV alone time – i.e. Luke is napping and Scott is busy doing something else. . . and that didn’t happen until Sunday. I am super excited because I get to watch it tonight (Tuesday!) this week!!

  9. That chocolate peppermint crunch looks amazing! I DVR the Bachelor too so I can skip all the commercials. I also did a fair amount of napping, laundry and being lazy in between running and grocery shopping. Nothing exciting, but still nice!

I am pretty sure she would jump me if I tried to put it in the dishwasher and not let her lick it. . . so spoiled! And Luke loves to build a tower and then yell “TOWER!!!” It is so flippin’ cute. 🙂

  11. Looks like you had a great weekend! What did you bake? It looks delicious!
