Weekend Update: 5/3/15

Oh hey there. How are you? Ready for another week?

My weekend started with teaching BODYPUMP on Saturday morning.

Then, we hit the road for the Lake. Scott had to spend some time working on the boat lift before putting it in the water this summer. Someone had an early nap after waking up at 5:45am!

Luke and I kept ourselves entertained while Scott worked. . .

Then, Aunt Jenny had a great idea a few weeks ago and we signed Luke up for the Eau Claire Marathon kids run.

His first race bib โ€“ so adorable!

Stretching before the race.

It was a super cute race with some obstacles for Luke to go thru. . .

And even had a water stop. . .

And a big slide to finish.

It was seriously the cutest thing ever.

Sunday morning we headed out to spectate the Eau Claire marathon.

Handed out kleenex and gummy bears to the runners.

And then off to the hospital to spend the afternoon with Dad.

Luke thought the drinks and popsicles were pretty cool.

And the bed was lots of fun.

And super fun to go through the revolving door with Grandma.

And my heart melted when he asked to snuggle with Grandpa. (wearing the mask just as a precaution against all of Lukeโ€™s germs!)

Thanks again for everyoneโ€™s thoughts and prayers. Things are going as well as can be expected right now. Just taking things day by day while he continues to be in the hospital getting chemo.

And finished off the weekend with chipotle. #winning. Smile

And now, off to get this week started!

How was your weekend??

I am linking up with Katie (and Erin) for Marvelous in my Monday!

And congratulations to the Balance Bar giveaway winner โ€“ Katie M. Check your email. Smile

  2. I want to run a race that ends with a big slide! Why do people always assume only kids want that stuff haha. Luke is too cute with his stretching and race bib.
We went to a wedding this weekend and spent a ton of time outside, so it was great all around!

  4. I cannot handle the cuteness of the kids race. I want to run one where there is a slide at the finish too!

Praying for your dad also. My dad had cancer and it is such a hard disease not only for the patient but also for the family.

You always seem to fit so much into your weekend! Thanks for sharing on your blog week after week. The picture of Luke and your dad is precious! Luke’s request to snuggle with your dad shows such compassion for a young boy.

  7. Luke is so sweet! I love the idea of a kids “marathon” and that he snuggled in the hospital bed. Gahh. Sounds like you had a good mix of fun, productivity and family over the weekend ๐Ÿ™‚
