Weekend Update: Easter

Hey! How are you? Did you have a good weekend? A good Easter? I hope so! My weekend was pretty good. . . here’s a quick recap.

Hit the road with my fav travel buddy after work on Friday. . .

Dinner, brushing teeth, reading books, and a little TV time was my Friday night.

And putting the finishing touches on Luke’s Easter basket. I got this adorable dinosaur basket from Shari’s Berries.

It came with some candy in it and I added a pair of Minion PJs and a few new trucks for Luke.

He loved it.

Then, after I taught Saturday morning BODYPUMP to a huge crowd at the YMCA, we headed out to an Easter egg hunt.

Luke got the hang of it pretty quick, especially when he realized there was candy in the eggs!

And he “won” second place in his age group and got his picture taken for the local newspaper.

Saturday afternoon activity was super simple and a total hit. Kitchen utensils + 2 bowls + some water. Kept Luke entertained for about 30 minutes while I meal prepped lunches for next week.

Sunday morning we were up bright and early to drive to the cities to meet Scott’s family at church.

After church, we headed back to his parent’s house for some family time and lunch.

How adorable are these crescent roll bunnies she made?

Nothing says Easter like double fisting apple juice. . ..

Another Easter egg hunt in the basement of Grandma and Grandpa’s house.

Then, off to feed the ducks. . .

Then, a quick cat nap in the car for Luke on the way to my parent’s house.

Easter basket success.

And the highlight of Easter dinner = dessert.

How was your weekend?? What was the best part?

And because it was pretty marvelous, I am linking up with Katie (and Erin) for Marvelous in my Monday!

*I was sent Luke’s dinosaur basket from Shari’s Berries in exchange for taking and sharing pictures. But per usual, all opinions and thoughts shared are 100% my own.

  1. What a great weekend! I used to love feeding the ducks when I was little 🙂 Glad you had such a great Easter! The best part of my weekend was spending time with my parents and having their help in painting a couple rooms!

  3. Awesome weekend! Ours was full of fun in the sun, church, and then playing with all the Easter goodies. Ryan got his first taste of a Peep and loved it. (He is definitely his mothers child, haha)

  4. As always, Luke is such a cutie! We have some illnesses going around our house, but still managed some Easter fun for the girls. And I treated myself to the new Ben & Jerry’s Tonight Show ice cream. So good!
