Why I’m doing another AdvoCare challenge. . .

On Monday, I’m starting my second AdvoCare 24 day challenge. My last one was in April. I had great results, I felt awesome and it was amazing. But then, slowly, I’ve been noticing some things that I am not too happy about. ..

#1. Coffee has slowly been creeping back into a daily occurrence. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t think there is anything wrong with daily coffee. . . but it doesn’t make me feel the greatest. Bigger energy crash mid-morning, belly bloat and to be honest, I just like the way spark makes me feel.


#2. Too many desserts. Yup. I like sugar. Lots of it. And while this is ok in moderation. It’s not ok in the amounts that I have been eating it recently.


#3. Not enough veggies. Plain and simple. We need to eat more.

#4. Number on the scale creeping up. Not cool. And my pants are feeling tighter. My cue to change it up.

#5. Because it makes me feel better. I felt amazing during and after my first challenge. I want that feeling back and I want to keep it going afterwards.


#6. To re-set before the Holidays.

#7. The timing is perfect . The challenge ends right before Halloween. BTW – I don’t know how Luke is going to be any cuter than he was last year.. .


#8. With challenges about every 3 months, perfect timing to be ready for another one in January. I think challenges are a great way to get back on track, stay on track or just to challenge yourself. The challenge is customizable for your goals.

#9. Scott is ready to take the challenge with me. Challenge buddy = awesomeness.

    • The basics of clean eating:
      meaning no:
      – coffee (and most caffeine, except the allowed “Spark” drink)
      – ALL dairy
      – ALL gluten
      – white sugar
      – processed foods
      – salt/sodium

      Yes to:
      – fruits
      – veggies
      – chicken, lean ground beef
      – sweet potatoes, quinoa, and brown rice
      – nut butters, EVOO
      – spices other than salt (curry powder!)

  3. I am sure having Scott to do the challenge with will be SO helpful! Having that moral support will be great and I’m sure it’s less tempting to eat the sweets when he isn’t eat them either!

  8. I’m so excited to do this challenge with you! I am a little nervous about giving up some of my food items, but I’m sure I will get used to it after a week or two. Hoping that it helps boost my energy and overall health.
